THE STORY

Ernest, owner of Hydrafix, grew up on a farm in small-town Pennsylvania. His journey in mechanical work began in elementary school when something flew apart on his bike. He gathered the steel balls on the driveway, put them back in and voilà, his bike worked again.

Living on a farm, there was no shortage of equipment needing repairs. Ernest grew comfortable working on this farm equipment and his own vehicles until finally, at age 18, he was able to use these talents to help others at his first job - repairing skid steers.

Those at the company noticed something unique: the meticulousness of how his repairs were completed. Immediately they saw value in moving Ernest into hydrostatic and hydraulic pump rebuilding, which planted the seed for what would eventually become Hydrafix.

Fast forward a few years, Ernest started a hydraulic repair business on the side, working his day job while the sun was up and the business during the evenings. This carried on for a while, but life changed in 2020 when he and his family moved to Wisconsin. They landed in Edgar and his business had to be restarted. That was no deterrent for Ernest. He hit the ground running and began building Hydrafix full-time, serving a great need to the folks in central Wisconsin. With a new shop, and a drive to succeed, the business has grown each year and now serves many customers throughout the entire state.
